Nakinjin Castle

Took advantage of the long weekend and decided to go up north to Nago. I had been feeling like a nice little trip up north would be fun, just needed a chance to do so. It was fun, I hadn't been able to spend much time with the family since going to night shift for a few weeks. Thankfully that is all done with and we go back into the swing of things pretty quickly.
Nakijin was great, very beautiful and serene (aside from a massive tour group that was rolling through as we were leaving). We seem to have the worst luck trying to catch the Cherry Blossoms in full bloom. Our first year we just couldn't find the park we were going to and gave up. Second year we went to the festival but the blooms had already happened and had mostly fallen off. This year we were a bit early and only some of the trees were fully in bloom. Ahhhh well, it was still very pretty and the buzzing of bees was a nice reminder that Winter is almost done and spring is on the way. Of course it never really felt like Winter came at all this year...
